Language
The official language of the Meeting is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

Press Registration
For press registration please send an e-mail to the following address: reg_easl2005@easl.ch with a copy of your valid press ID card.
Alternatively, please complete and return the downloadable PDF registration form together with the copy of your valid press ID card by fax to: +41 22 732 2850.

Photographs, Audio and Video Recording
Photographs as well as audio and video recordings are not permitted at the EASL official meeting sessions. This regulation does not apply to industry sponsored satellite symposia. Only the official EASL photographer may take photographs in the halls.

Embargo Policy
Information in abstracts accepted for EASL will be under embargo from release by the press until 13/04/05. Abstracts will be available to the press for viewing starting March 2005 on www.easl.ch

EASL Press Office
The press office is located 231M. You will be able to pick up press releases issued by EASL from this office.

  1. Press activities may be conducted on-site at the Palais des Congrès in the following rooms, available for press representatives.
    • Press Office 231M
    • Press Conference Room 232M
  2. Press packs and/or promotional material related to press can be placed in the press office. Material placed in other locations around the Congress centre will be removed.
  3. There will be a computer, laptop connections and printer provided in the press office available for press representatives.
  4. EASL media lists or lists of press attendees from former Congresses and events are not made available to the press or their communications representatives.
  5. A member of staff dedicated to the Press office will be available throughout the Congress period. This staff member will be responsible for badge-checking, the general upkeep of the room and answering press enquiries. This staff member will not be responsible for the press related tasks such as photocopying or secretarial duties.
  6. Coffee and refreshments will be provided in the press office at no extra charge for the press attendees and for their sole use only.
  7. A Press Conference will be organized on April 13 at 11.45 hrs in 232M. Further details will be made available soon

All queries regarding the Press Office should be directed to the meeting secretariat.

Guidelines for industry press coverage
  1. Industry press activities may be conducted on-site at the Congress centre in the following rooms, available for hire by industry and their PR representatives at a set fee. The rooms are located at Palais des Congrès
    • Press Office 231M
    • Press Conference Room 232M
  2. Industry press packs and/or promotional materials relating to press can be placed in the stands exhibition and /or at the press office and hospitality suite (if reserved). Material placed in other locations around the Congress centre (with the exception of the exhibitor’s stand) will be removed.
  3. There will be a computer and printer provided in the press office but the Press representatives invited by the industry are requested to leave this free for the free press attendees for whom it is provided.
  4. EASL media lists or lists of press attendees from former Congresses and events are not made available to the Industry or their communications representatives.
  5. A member of staff dedicated to the Press office will be available throughout the Congress period. This staff member will be responsible for badge-checking, the general upkeep of the room and answering press enquiries. This staff member will not be responsible for Industry-related tasks such as photocopying or secretarial duties unless this has been arranged prior to the congress.
  6. Coffee and refreshments will be provided in the press office at no extra charge for the press attendees and for their sole use only.
  7. Photography: Only the official EASL photographer may take photographs in the exhibit hall.
  8. The Press Conference Room is a hall designated for the organization of press conferences and press briefings relevant to the Congress. The room has a capacity of 16 Conference style, 30 theatre style, and audiovisual facilities and a full-time technician at the time of the press conference.
  9. The Press Conference Room can be booked by industry at specific requested times and restricted to press attendees and Industry press conference organizers (Industry officials and their PR/event management representatives) with the meeting secretariat.
  10. F acilities in Press Conference Room:
    • 1 speaker lectern with both cabled microphone and clip-on cabled microphone
    • 4 cabled microphones at the speaker table
    • Full for projection
    • 1 flip chart with paper and pens
    • Rental of the Industry Press Conference Room is charged at 314 € per event and can be booked through EASL Office.
    • Embargo Policy: Any publications, abstracts, proceedings or monographs from any industries sponsored satellites and symposia shall not be in anyway associated with and will be independent of EASL.
